CMoore in Education is excited to be offering new services to families who have children with ADHD. We are looking to provide a fun, safe, social group once a week that will help facilitate some joy, active participation and connection. We will also focus on social skills as well each week.
We are looking to run these on Wednesday evenings for two different age/grade groupings.
Grades 3-4: 5:30-6:45
Grades 5-6: 6:45-8:00
Location: Grande Prairie Public Library (Rotary Community Room)
Upcoming winter session dates: Nov 1, 8, 15, 22, Dec 6, 13
NOTE: We will have one of the weeks be a fun community outing. More details to come...
*With enough community interest, we will run a second cycle starting the following week for 6 more dates.
Carmen, Leanne and Rochelle will be organizing and running these groups. Between us, we have decades of personal and professional experience in working with and supporting children and teens with an ADHD diagnosis. Fill out the intake form below as a first step to having your child possibly participate!
Ensure they meet the following criteria:
1) Have an official ADHD diagnosis
2) Are a willing participant in the group
3) Will comply with some instruction/direction easily
4) Currently fit within the age/grade groupings outlined
5) Will not engage in unsafe behavior (hurting self or others)
Pricing: Each 6 week cycle will be $380. Funding supports possible. Pay via EFT to cmooreineducation@gmail.com
(Reminder: Do NOT pay until you have been selected/notified to participate.)
Some applicants may be put on a waitlist based on interest/criteria/etc.
*See below intake form for FSCD funding support information!
MAJOR UPDATE ON FUNDING/SUPPORT THROUGH FSCD: As of May 8th, moving forward, families can approach their FSCD Caseworkers to determine if the family meets the criteria through Behavioral Developmental Supports (BDS). Guardians are encouraged to contact their FSCD caseworker to determine if the child meets criteria for additional funding supports through the FSCD Program. Families will be able to pay for service and then be reimbursed, if approved, as per any typical support through FSCD.
NOTE: This only applies if your child has a contract through FSCD. If you do not have a current contract and would like to apply, here is the link to find out more: FSCD - How to apply | Alberta.ca
